Duties

Implement quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, throughout their development lifecycles. Implement and provide guidance to other team members on software quality assurance. Testing to meet testing software requirements. Testing techniques include, smoke, functional, regression, exploratory and integration. Define quality requirements and standards for projects, specify the quality strategy and outline quality objectives. Conduct internal quality audits and assessments to ensure processes and documentation comply with QMO standards, policies, or best practices. Work with QA Manager to verify and revise quality assurance standards as needed. Responsible for test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution. Lead implementation and execution of functional, regression and user acceptance tests. Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management. Create and execute Automation test framework to increase testing effectiveness and reduce time to deliver quality product. Help with UAT testing to plan and organize UAT, coordinate and monitor testing, monitor defects, create defect reports, work with vendors and the state to resolve the defects/bugs & lead QA/Testing projects. Under general direction, formulate and define business process systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems which consider computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Perform analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Guide and advise less-experienced Business Systems Analysts. Work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Gather/understand/outline complex business process technology needs and document technology requirements. Provide application/solution development support (requirements, design, and production support) for Information Technology tools and business processes. Deliver training and educational materials related to best practices for leveraging key technology components. Effectively facilitate the implementation of best practices and policies for leveraging existing tools utilized throughout various projects and programs. Work with business Subject Matter Experts to understand business process and technical requirements for custom development as well as shrink wrapped software solutions. No hire/fire authority. Requirements

Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, or related discipline plus three years of related experience, or, in the alternative, Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, or related discipline, plus five years of related experience, is required. Must have experience with analyzing requirements, documenting test plans, testing scripts, and planning test execution. Must have experience with designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, and smoke testing using Selenium, TOSCA, NodeJS, Cucumber, and Appium. Experience required in SIT, UAT testing, Load & Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Web Testing, API Testing, and writing SQL Queries. Must have experience with CI to enable automated test execution with CI/CD tools. Experience working in Agile and Waterfall Methodologies. Telecommuting is permissible within a reasonable commuting distance from the Overland Park, KS office. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English.
