Primary Purpose:

Black & Veatch is currently looking to add an Electrical Engineering Technician to our West Region - Water Business - National Design Center.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Individual should have some familiarity with engineering and design in one or more of the following Electrical design and drafting areas related to industrial projects: equipment layout, electrical one-lines, schematic and wiring diagrams, grounding, duct bank and tray layouts. Basic knowledge of physical raceway, grounding, and lighting systems a plus. Ability to read and understand vendor drawing for electrical and mechanical equipment, etc.

Responsibilities include ensuring the design drawings and layouts are complete and meet Black & Veatch requirements and all applicable codes and standards. Design layout and drawings shall be compliant with recommended practices, sketches, notes, and any written or verbal instructions given, as well as all project design requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• AutoCAD experience highly desired

• Experience with three dimensional modeling software packages is preferred but not required.
